Questions
What counts as "down"?
A 5xx response, a timeout or a refused connection. A 401 or 404 means the server answered, so it counts as up — this is a reachability monitor.
How fast will I hear about an outage?
Within one check interval, once both probes agree. On Pro that is about a minute.
Do you page me while I deploy?
Not if you mute the monitor first. Checks continue, alerts are held.
